
Expanding Horizons in Bronchiectasis Care
Program / Course Description
The Bronchiectasis Education Center (BEC), was developed by the ATS in partnership with a team of subject matter experts to improve diagnosis and awareness of bronchiectasis, with a focus on acute exacerbations associated with the progression of this disorder. In this latest module, specialists explore the evolving landscape of bronchiectasis care, from sharpening diagnostic practices to optimizing management and applying emerging therapies. Through case-based learning and expert dialogue, this 1-hour session equips clinicians and care teams with practical strategies to deliver exceptional patient care.
Target Audience
The target audience for this educational initiative will be U.S. based pulmonologists, radiologists, and general practitioners who encounter patients with this bronchiectasis
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the learners should be able to:
- Recognize the clinical presentation and diagnostic criteria for bronchiectasis to improve identification and reduce misdiagnosis
- Assess the impact of pulmonary exacerbations on bronchial remodeling and disease progression in bronchiectasis
- Evaluate the current treatment landscape for bronchiectasis, including existing management strategies and unmet therapeutic needs
