Addressing the Burden of PH-ILD: Early Recognition, Evidence-Based Management, & Care Coordination

Program / Course Description

This initiative is designed to close critical knowledge and competence gaps in pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD)—empowering clinicians to recognize disease earlier, screen proactively, and act decisively. By addressing disease progression, declining functional capacity, and quality-of-life impact, the program promotes coordinated multidisciplinary care and equips providers with the latest evidence-based strategies aligned to current clinical data and guidelines—ultimately improving outcomes in this high-risk population.

Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for pulmonologists and cardiologists.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  • Summarize the increased clinical burden of PH-ILD and associated disease progression, including decreased functional capacity, impaired patient health-related quality of life, and increased mortality
  • Identify approaches for improving the early diagnosis of PH-ILD, including proactive screening and symptom assessment and differentiation
  • Evaluate the latest clinical data and practice guidelines to support evidence-based decision making in the treatment of PH-ILD
