Overview:

In 2020, the ATS published a Clinical Practice Guideline, “Diagnosis and Detection of Sarcoidosis” in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. This digital primer is intended to serve as a tool to clinicians by highlighting the key areas of the guidelines such as Incidence / prevalence; pathogenesis and risk factors; Diagnosis, clinical presentation; prognosis and monitoring for disease progression; prognostic clinical features; laboratory markers predictive of sarcoidosis disease activity and response to treatment; organ specific clinical features and biomarkers predictive of disease progression; treatment principles; strategies and contributing factors.
